The mass media has become a gigantic power in modern society due to the information explosion. The mass media holds a power that is often used by forces that are not transparently managed and this is the reason why it has ended up becoming the most powerful manipulation instrument to ever exist. The problem with manipulation is when people are not aware of its methods, and for the mass media the methods are often specific to its characteristics making the situation even harder to realize. In our time it is almost a duty for everyone who intends to understand the world in which we live to understand the ways we can be influenced from the exterior and how we can be led to follow rules and actions that are not in our interest and do not reveal anything useful for us.
